• One year at Lauderdale County High School as English teacher in grades ten and eleven.
• Twenty-four years at Anderson Junior High School as English teacher in grades six through nine and drama teacher.

My name is Cathy Smith. My husband Scotty taught fourth grade at Anderson School for many years. We have two sons, Justin, a third grade teacher at Anderson School, and Tyler, a student at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and an associate pastor at a church in Indiana.  I have a black lab named Sam and an orange and white cat named Emma.  One of my favorite things to do when I'm not at school is read. Two of my favorite contemporary authors are Jan Karon  and John Grisham, and the novel I like best is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I also enjoy gardening in the summer time and spending time with my family and friends. I like cooking, listening to music, and watching movies, too. At my church, I teach a Sunday school class and sing in our choir. I consider myself blessed to be back at LCHS as a teacher and to have the opportunity to get to know the students here.
